Fitness videos were jumping off the shelves, and Andrew had his sights on creating a landmark fitness series. The first part of the equation was to cast the leading role.

Heather Locklear was one of the hottest TV actresses in Hollywood at the time.

She was also a spokesperson for Bally’s Health and Fitness Clubs. Andrew and Heather were both working/represented by with the William Morris Agency. The agency set up a meeting between Andrew and Heather.

“I approached the meeting with why I thought she would be the perfect host for the series and a sketch and outline of the concept.  The premise was about Power, Grace and Energy, everything a woman wants, and making the workout your own personal workout, where you could mix and match the various workouts.” Andrew described how many lives Heather could change by being a role model promoting a healthier way of life.  She must have loved the idea, because shortly thereafter the agents were able  to once again facilitate an agreement.  Andrew put Heather under contract to do the fitness series. Of course, she was very busy, doing both prime time televisions shows TJ Hooker and Dynasty at the same time.

Because of her connection as a spokersperson, Andrew also approached and signed Bally’s Health and Fitness to a major, six figure cross sponsorship deal.  The deal was ground breaking in the fitness industry.

Bally’s additionally purchased a six figure quantity of videos to use as a promotional incentive for a new members to their clubs.

As the last piece of the puzzle. Andrew brought in Universal Home Video as another underwriter, marketing and distribution partner.  As part of the cross sponsorship deal with Bally’s, each video included a one month trial membership at any Bally’s health club across the country.

Andrew developed a hugely successful, first of its kind, cross sponsorship deal with Bally’s and Univeral Home Video. The series not only financially successful, but also garnered top awards and went triple platinum.
