With the rise of a Spanish-speaking demographic in the United States, Shape Magazine created Shape En Espanol.

Bilingual and with a Spanish language programming background, Andrew met the Editor-in-Chief of the new publication. She knew Andrew’s travels and his focus on healthy living would fit in perfectly with the magazine’s readership. And so he became the magazine’s featured travel contributor with his series, “See the World. Stay in Shape.” He wrote and photographed his adventures around the world, all with an active lifestyle focus, with the hope of widening the horizons of the readers.

One story in particular stands out. Andrew has always had special place in his heart for the ‘Happiest Place on Earth.’ Among his many visits to Disney World, each and every trip always left lingering memories of laughter and happiness. Reflecting on his experience after a recent trip, and eating like a king for a week at a plethora of signature restaurants and snacks, he noticed he never gained a pound, but actually lost a few. Knowing that most visitors walk an incredible amount during their time at the park. That inspired the idea and his story on tracking how many miles he walked during a week long visit at Disney World. With his pedometer, and after five full days of exploring the Parks, to his amazement they had walked nearly the distance of a marathon!

The article explored not only the amount of miles walked, but how a family trip to Disney World could also be a great way to have a healthy and exciting trip all in one. A week in Disney World could jumpstart a family to a healthier way of life. Because it was an approach, no one had ever explored before, the story spread all over the globe, and was a sensation.
